We asked second graders what they want to become when they grow up. Here are some interesting responses.

We all have aspirations as children and wish to become successful individuals when we grow up. These aspirations and hopes help us strive for the best and become responsible citizens. At Schola Nova from a very young age children are encouraged to be creative and push their imagination beyond the usual. We asked second graders what they want to become when they grow up. Here are some interesting responses.

“When I grow up I want to become a veterinarian because I want to save dolphins. If I become an animal doctor I can look after animals. I can give them food, water and proper care. I can take care of them and stay with them to study their lives. Animals cannot tell us about their pain. Only a sensitive person like me can help them.”

Well Done Dr.Zoya!

“When I grow up I want to be a doctor because I want to help people who are sick. I want to give them medicine. Doctors help people in pain. I cannot see people suffering in pain. I want to help them and take care of them. Saving life is the most important and respectable thing to do. I will study very hard to become a good doctor one day.”

Good ideas, Areesha Adeem!

“When I grow up I want to be a pilot because I like to travel around the world. I want to visit new places. I like to learn new languages. I want to be friends with new people. I think exploring different places is very interesting. We can learn how people live in different climates and areas. I would love to see all the new places that Allah has made.”

Beautiful approach, Rana Abdul Hadi!

“When I grow up I want to become an engineer because I want to make cars that help learners learn to drive and racers can be safe in their race. I will make cars that run a long way in one full tank. The cars will carry four adults and two children. I will make my own car company. Then I will hire more engineers to help me make other types of cars with safety system.”

Superb, engineer Shayan!

“When I grow up I want to become a teacher because I want to teach students. I can help students learn new things. Teaching people is a very respectable job. I will become a good teacher and spread Knowledge in the world. I will also teach good manners to children so that they become good human beings and this is how we can make this world a better place to live in.”

Teacher Manahil, you are great!

“When I grow up I want to become a soldier because I want to save my country. I will save people. I will destroy my enemy. Soldiers are brave men because they risk their own lives to save the lives of other people. Soldiers are afraid of nothing. They are the bravest people in the world. A soldier is never tired. Soldiers have the biggest job in the world.’

Soldier Ibrahim, you will look superb in a soldier uniform!

Encourage your child with his/her dreams and desires. Respond to their queries positively and help them look for ways to accomplish their goals. As parents and teachers we need to provide them with support and guidance and be there for them whenever they fail. Failure should not stop them from dreaming. In fact it should force them to think of new ways and a different approach to reach their desired destination.
