Co-Curricular Activities

Co curricular is the key that unlocks profound human understanding and accomplishments!
Schola Nova’s Co-curricular Programme aims to develop the intellectual, emotional and social skills of its students, needed to live and work in a rapidly globalising world.

Life Skills

The need of the hour is to equip our children with the right tools to cope with the requirements of this fast-paced life through workshops on social and civic responsibilities, self-grooming, table manners, current affairs, and offering counseling sessions for stress and anger management and instilling positive habits and values.

Performing Arts

“Tell me and I will forget.
Show me and I will remember.
Involve me and I will understand.”
Chinese Proverb

Experience the joy of self expression through Drama and recital. An important tool for preparing students to live and work in a world that is increasingly TEAM-ORIENTED and give them opportunities to explore, discuss and deal with difficult issues and to express their emotions in a supportive environment.

STEAM

SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING ARTS MATH

We believe in empowering students to dream, observe, research and create. Technology, science and knowledge are important in modern contemporary society. Students explore how science and technology produce new products, new ways of understanding, new ways of living and new institutions. Young minds find answers to why new technology and knowledge is so fundamental to us in the ways through which we imagine the future and create their own.

Sign Language

Teaching compassion, kindness and acceptance for all members of the community through the language of silence – the language of signs – Pakistan Sign Language. Schola Nova -the only institute in Pakistan with a PSL curriculum for all its learners to highlight the importance of the need to be able to communicate effectively with the differently-abled.

Music

Music, as the universal language, clearly has the capacity to reach across cultural boundaries like no other activity. The experience of learning music as a subject with a comprehensive knowledge of notes and instruments enables our students to create their own melodies. It is the “glue” of the core curriculum as Music is math. Music is reading, and Music is logic.

Living Beyond Borders

At Schola Nova we offer other languages to inculcate acceptance and appreciation of other cultures in our students. Learning another language opens the gateway to another culture. Previously the French Language was taught currently we have the Turkish Language.

The Turkish Language is the language of The Ottoman Empire. A Turkish lesson is a cultural journey into the worlds of food, architecture and history. It offers access to the works of great Turkish writers such as Rumi or Elif Safak and famous poets such as Yunus Emre or Ahmed Nedim. A unique and beautiful language that depicts the culture, heritage, art and architecture.

Jolly Phonics

Jolly Phonics is a comprehensive, fun and child centered program to teaching literacy through synthetic phonics. It allows children develop their reading, writing, and spelling skills from early years.
The sound base developed at this level through comprehensive multi – sensory resources and practical guidance helps students throughout their academic career.

NAZRA

Ensuring our students stay in touch with the Holy Qura’an through proper recitation of its verses as well as a thorough understanding of the text has been one of our major priorities. Through this program, we hope to pave the way for a closer connection between the Sacred text and our students.

Art & Crafts

Creativity is always attributed with Art. No doubt Art elicits creativity; however at Schola Nova we encourage the young minds to blend emotions with Art to explore new ideas, gain self-confidence, and express their thoughts.
We also focus on the therapeutic effects of Art at Schola Nova as Art therapy is an
unspoken language that talks about your brain. At times children may have emotional and intellectual challenges which they find hard to express verbally. Art can be used as an expressive medium to overcome anxiety, stress, depression, can strengthen a sense of self-esteem and help explore new traits of one’s own personality.
